Clones Drama Group is competing in the finals of the All-Ireland Confined Amateur Drama Finals tonight.
The group will perform The Playboy of the Western World in the finals tonight in the Patrician in Carrickmore, Co. Tyrone.
The group has been touring in recent weeks, and features a host of local talent.
The finals have been running since last Thursday (9th April) and will run until Friday (17th April).
Seamie McMahon is one of the cast members taking part in the play this evening.
Speaking to Northern Sound this afternoon, he spoke about the groups rehearsals.
He said: "We're rehearsing since September, so its a big commitment. Going onto the festival scene is a massive undertaking. You have to build the set, dress it, act, and after the show bring the whole thing down again. Its long days.
"Some of the crew get quite nervous, I don't myself. It is an All-Ireland, and its a massive night for Clones Drama Group. We would have entered All-Irelands in the 1950s', and would have won the All-Ireland in the 1950s'. In the last 60 or 70 years, we haven't entered the competition, so this is our first year. We decided to give it a go, and we're delighted to have made the final," Seamie added.
