Clones Film Festival kicks off this evening, with the festival celebrating its 24th year.
Over the weekend, a number of films will be shown in various locations across the town, including the Old Post Office and the Canal Stores.
On opening night this year, the focus is once again on short films with strong local connections.
First up this year is the premiere of 'Heathen' a short horror film made in Cavan.
That will be followed by 'Examination Assassination', starring a host of young local acting talent.
The festival's chairperson, Siobhán Sheerin said it promises to be an amazing evening.
Speaking to Northern Sound she said: "We're encouraging people to go online and grab our programme.
"The programme is packed full of films, short films, a book launch.
"On Saturday night, we're going to project some imagery onto some of the buildings in Clones, and there will be live music there," Sheerin added.
