Some of the symptoms include fatigue, depression, and brain fog.

Just under 10,000 people across Cavan and Monaghan are suffering from 'Long Covid'.

That's according Independent TD Denis Naughten, who says more than 336,000 people nationally are suffering from the long-term effects of the virus.

Some of the symptoms of Long Covid include fatigue, depression, and brain fog.

Deputy Naughten's figures come from a study in the medical journal, 'The Lancet'.

That study found nearly 13% of people who contracted covid-19 have been left with Long Covid.

When this figure is applied locally, 5,310 people in Co Cavan would have Long Covid, while 4,664 people in Co Monaghan would have the condition.
