During the Adult learners festival CMETB will be launching a new Podcast, 'The Journey' next Friday the 8th of March with the aims to inspire and support individuals on their path to further education and training. The podcast delves into the personal stories of learners, shedding light on their triumphs, challenges, and the barriers they overcame to achieve success
The two people behind the podcast is Martin McGovern who is a Guidance Counsellor at CMETB and Eddie Halligan who is the co-host of the Podcast and is a tutor at Cavan Institute. Speaking to Northern Sound both Martin and Eddie explained that 'The Journey Podcast', aims to inspire and support individuals on their path to Further Education and Training (FET).
"One of the main barriers that we've seen from a lot of adults in particular is a lack of confidence, when you hear someone in their 60s talking about when they were 50 going back after having kids and raising their family to sitting up at night doing a course step by step, it sends such a powerful message to people and really does inspire others."
