Co Monaghan has two entries in the Irish Times' top 20 best places to live.
470 locations were nominated by more than 2,400 people for the title of "Best Place to Live in Ireland 2021".
Monaghan Town is among the 11 towns short-listed, while Glaslough is one of four villages in the running for the Irish Times competition.

Each location was considered by a panel of judges on specific criteria including community spirit, local services and amenities, diversity, transport links, the vibrancy of the local economy, cost of living, and safety.
Glaslough was one of the areas with the largest amount of nominations, with 246 entries.
