Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council, Cllr John Paul Feeley officially opened community facilities in County Cavan in recent days.
He also surveyed progress on other projects representing an overall investment of over €10.8 million in the county.
Cllr Feeley cut the ribbon at the state-of-the-art new gym upgrade at Cavan Leisure Centre.
He officially opened the new playground in Ballyhaise, which was delivered with €175,000 in Community Recognition Funding.
The Cathaoirleach also took the opportunity to visit a high-quality new playground development in Seán Lee Drive, Belturbet, in addition to Lough MacNean Amenity Area and Playground, Blacklion.
While visiting West Cavan, the Cathaoirleach also took the opportunity to survey progress on the €10m Shannon Pot Discovery Centre project.
In nearby Glangevlin, Cllr Feeley visited the former post office building, which has been acquired by Cavan County Council with a view to developing the site.
