Independent candidate, Catherine Connolly has joined in on calls for information about Paul Quinn's murder.
This week marked the 18th anniversary of the 21-year-old's murder.
Earlier this week, Paul's mother, Breege Quinn, called on Ms. Connolly to encourage Sinn Féin to give her any information they may have on Paul's murder.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show this morning, Connolly said that the investigation has taken 'way too long'.
She called for anyone with any information about the murder to come forward.
However, Connolly added that she has received endorsements from several parties, and that she is an independent candidate.
She said: "That Breege has to beg for information is awful. All I can do is join in her call that anyone who has information should come forward. There is an ongoing Garda investigation
"In relation to Sinn Féin endorsing me, quite a number of parties and non-parties have come behind me. I have stood proudly as an independent candidate, with an independent mind.
"The fact that a number of parties, Senators, and TDs, we have agreed on core values, we not on everything. But a core number of things, where we have set aside our differences, to go for a better Ireland, and shape a different type of Republic," the presidential candidate added.
