A local councillor is calling for playgrounds to be more inclusive for everyone in Co Monaghan.
Cllr Clerkin highlighted the need for sensory equipment and communication boards to be installed for all future playpark upgrades across the country.
The Fine Gael representative said there is good work being carried out by the council and praised completion works of a new playground at Lus na Greine housing estate in Scotstown.
Despite this, he says parents of children with special needs have approached him on a number of occasions with concerns about the lack of sensory equipment at local playparks.
