It's the State's case that Mr Puska confessed to his involvement in Ashling Murphy's death.

The trial of Jozef Puska, accused of the murder of school teacher Ashling Murphy, is to resume before the Central Criminal Court this morning.

The 33-year-old man, of Lynally Grove, Mucklagh, Co Offaly, has pleaded not guilty to murder.

Yesterday, the jury of nine men and three women were shown seven maps outlining the scene and the various areas involved in the case.

Later, they were shown a number of photographs from the scene of where Ashling Murphy died on January 12th 2022.

It's the State's case that Mr Puska confessed to his involvement in Ashling Murphy's death - and did so at a level of detail which only that person would know about.

He denies the charge of murder, and the trial continues this morning.
