Covid-19 Vaccines will now be available for patients over 85 in Swanlinbar following the first delivery this morning.
It is hoped that most of those over 80 will also get vaccinated in this round with the practice arranging appointments as a matter of urgency.
The HSE worked closely to address the requirement for the practice including upgrading the defibrillator in the surgery and arranging an agency nurse for the practice.
Local Fianna Fáil councillor John Paul Feeley says that while it is welcome news it is unfortunately amongst the last practices to get the Vaccine nationally.
