A Cavan bakery has shown it has the recipe for success as it is among this year's Grow with ALDI winners.
As a result, Cully's Bakery in Arvagh has secured a contract that will see their products stocked in ALDI stores nationwide.
Undertaken in partnership with Bord Bia, and now in its fifth year, the Grow with ALDI programme provides mentorship and retail support to Irish producers offering unrivalled access to Irish consumers across a network of 152 ALDI stores nationwide.
The family-run bakery has been a fixture in the local community since 1953 and now their popular 'Iced Cherry Log' will be added to ALDI's award-winning core range and retail at €2.99.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Brian Cully described the scheme as a "game changer" for a small, rural business like Cully's Bakery.
He continued, "We are over the moon to be one of the five winners of this year’s Grow with ALDI. We learned so much from ALDI and we could not recommend it enough to fellow business owners looking to take their business to the next level.
"It has been an incredible experience and to have it end with our Iced Cherry Log stocked in ALDI stores all over Ireland? Well, that’s just the cherry on top!"
