The curator of Cavan County Library says the addition of an amphitheater is a direct response to the Covid crisis.
It was decided at this month’s Ballyjamesduff Municipal District meeting that plans for the 250 seat, wheelchair accessible, performance space would be put to public consultation, with the Part 8 planning application expected back for consideration during the summer.
Curator, Savina Donohoe, says they want to offer more opportunities to the people of Cavan through this development and she is hopeful that the project will get the required funding after receiving the support of councillors this week.
