Locals across Cavan and Monaghan will come together for the sunrise walk for the first time in two years.

Locals across Cavan and Monaghan will come together for the annual Darkness Into Light walk which will take place at sunrise tomorrow morning.

This will mark the first time in two years that people can come together for the sunrise walk as a result of the Covid pandemic.

Walks will take place at a number of locations across the region, including Monaghan town, Bailieborough, Carrickmacross, and also Cavan town.

The Darkness Into Light event will take on many forms this year, with people coming together in different and creative ways to share a sunrise moment and stand in solidarity with those impacted by suicide and self-harm.
