Death of former Monaghan councillor, John Keenan

Former Co Monaghan councillor John Keenan has died unexpectedly at his home surrounded by his family.

Mr Keenan was elected in 2004 to Monaghan County Council for Fine Gael and missed out being re-elected in 2009 by the narrowest of margins.

No funeral details have been announced at this stage following the popular man’s death.

Mr Keenan lived in Laragh, Castleblayney and a native of Carrickmacross. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
