Despite drop in daily report Cavan's Covid 19 rate is still highest in country

Cavan is still recording the largest numbers of Covid 19 cases in the Shannonside Northern Sound region.

According to the latest data, it had 23 new cases as of midnight on Saturday, with an incidence rate of 966.2 per 100,000 of population..

While lower than in recent days, it's still the highest in the country.

There were 19 new positive cases of Covid 19 in Monaghan, with 13 in Roscommon, nine in Longford and less than five in Leitrim.
