Do not Consume notice issued for Mountainlodge Group Water Supply

A 'Do not Consume' notice has been issued for consumers of the Mountainlodge Group Water Supply Scheme in Co Cavan.

It is advised that boiling your water will NOT render it safe to drink.

An alternative safe source of drinking water should be used for drinking, cooking of food and food preparation, brushing teeth, and making ice.

An alternative supply is being provided from tankers at Laragh National School and Tunnyduff National School.

This water must be boiled before use for drinking or for food preparation.

It is important to also note that water from the hot tap of kitchen or bathroom sinks is not safe to drink.
