A hydrotherapy treatment pool at the Hillside Centre in Cavan Town is to remain closed due to the lack of funding.
The doors to the facility - which is operated by HSE and Enable Ireland - have been closed since 2019.
This week Enable Ireland confirmed to Northern Sound that repair works at the centre would commence as soon as the building contractor was available.
The organisation also highlighted how a recruitment process for a pool attendant has begun thanks to a private donation.
Enable Ireland says it is not possible to determine a timescale to the reopening at this time.
The HSE, meanwhile, confirmed that Enable Ireland has made a funding application for the project.
The health authority is also seeking to have the necessary funding provided in its 2023 budget allocation.
