The company has seen a dramatic increase in deliveries in Cavan and Monaghan.

Delivery company DPD expects to increase the number of people it employs in Cavan and Monaghan after the opening of its new distribution centre in Cootehill.

It was officially opened by local Minister Heather Humphreys yesterday with it expected to increase the company's capacity in the Northern Sound region.

CEO Des Travers says the increase in online shopping has seen DPD's business double since the beginning of the pandemic.
