Monaghan County Council, along with the National Transport Authority, has released a draft Local Transport Plan.
The purpose of this is to identify sustainable transport enhancements to the existing transport network in Monaghan Town.
The aim of this plan is to establish a strategic framework for the future development of transport infrastructure in the study area.

The project looks at, active travel , road network options, public transport, as well as, possible strategy and implementation.
Locals are invited to have their say on the plan with a public consultation taking place at the Peace Campus on June 24th from 4pm to 8pm.
