Yesterday morning Carrickmacross Gardai attended the scene of a single vehicle road traffic collision.
The driver subsequently provided a roadside oral fluid specimen and tested positive for cocaine.
He was then arrested and provided blood specimens at Carrickmacross Garda Station.

The results are now awaited and a possible Court appearance is pending.
Local Gardaí are highlighting this incident today to call on people across the region to never ever drive while under the influence of either drink or drugs.
