Driving conditions are dangerous again this morning, this time mostly because of freezing fog. An Orange low temperature and ice warning for 16 counties will lead to severe frost and ice until midday.
It comes as a yellow warning for the whole country could see some showers of hail, sleet and snow, mainly near coasts. Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather has the morning outlook.
"It's a very cold start this morning with temperatures below -5 degrees again in many inland parts of the country. It's not quite as cold along the coast but still a cold morning.

"There is also freezing fog which makes for treacherous conditions locally, especially in areas where that fog is slow to clear," he added.
