A man has appeared in court in relation to a drug seizure in Co Cavan.
Gardaí in Virginia stopped a vehicle earlier this week and the driver failed a roadside drug test testing positive for cocaine.
Following a search of the vehicle, it transpired that an estimated 18,500 euros worth of cannabis was located.

In a follow up search of a property conducted by Detective Branch members attached to Bailieboro Garda Station another quantity of cannabis was also discovered.
The motorist was driving without insurance and the car was taken off the road with the driver appearing in the local District Court charged with drug related offences.
