€5 million in Vacant Property Grants paid out to date across region

Close to €5 million worth of Vacant Property Refurbishment Grants have been issued in Cavan and Monaghan to date.

New figures released today show €2.6 million has been given out in Monaghan. Since 2022 there have 264 applications, 176 approvals, and 45 grants issued in the county. Meanwhile in Cavan, the figure is €2.2 million, made up of 377 applications, 282 approvals, and 41 grants issued. The Vacant Property Grant allows for a payment of up to €70,000 to refurbish a vacant or derelict property. Nationally, over €77 million has been paid out under the scheme since 2022.
