A man has been charged in connection with the the discovery of €52,000 worth of cannabis plants and €2,200 in cash at a property in Bailieborough.
Gardaí attached to the Cavan Monaghan Divisional Drugs Unit assisted by local Garda units conducted a search under warrant of a house in the town yesterday.
During the course of the search they discovered a room upstairs in the property that had been converted for the cultivation of cannabis plants.

A total of 65 plants at a mature stage of growth were recovered.
The man is expected to appear before Monaghan District Court this morning.
