€8.5 million has been spent in Monaghan Town through the Monaghan Town vouchers since its inception in 2016.
The local currency creates jobs and keeps money in the town to invest in the local economy.
The Monaghan Town Team says the initiative has gone from strength to strength over the past 8 years. Co-chairperson of Monaghan Town Team, Emily Treanor says this is money that will be put back in our town, backing businesses, backing jobs and backing our community and families.
