Emergency road closure to take place in Cavan

The R194 will be closed from Cloghergoole Cross to Virginia Town today, August 21st. According to Cavan County Council, the closure will take place from 8am to 4pm to facilitate the carrying out of emergency patch repair on surface failures.

Alternative routes are being provided for motorists while works are being carried out. Traffic coming from Virginia wanting to go to Mullagh will be diverted via the N3 to Whitegate and onto the L3021. Meanwhile, traffic coming from Mullagh Town in the direction of Virginia will be divert via the L7102 onto the N3 at Maghera.
