Fire crews responded to a shop fire in Carrickmacross this morning.
Crews from Carrickmacross and Castleblayney Fire Stations, as well as Gardai and ambulance crews attended to the blaze on Castle Street just after 3.30am.
The fire was contained within the ground floor of the building and was quickly brought under control.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire remains unknown.
