A Cavan nursing home professional has been named as a finalist for the 2025 Nursing Homes Ireland Care Awards.
Breege Lyons, Laundry Assistant at Esker Lodge Nursing Home in Keadew, has been shortlisted in the General Award category for the prestigious awards.
The awards will take place on Thursday, 6th November at the Round Room, Mansion House, Dublin.
The NHI Care Awards, held in association with Homecare Medical, recognise exceptional care being provided across Ireland's 440+ nursing homes, which support over 27,000 residents nationwide.
Breege joined Esker Lodge Nursing Home in 2004 and has been a dedicated member of the team for over 20 years, celebrating two decades of service in May 2024.
Throughout her time at Esker Lodge, she has contributed across housekeeping, care, laundry and catering ands she also supports pastoral care for residents, helps organise the annual Remembrance Service and actively participates in activities and events.
