An event is being held today in Cavan Town Square to "honour the courage, strength, and determination" of refugees who forced to flee their homes.
It's Refugee Week and Cavan County Local Development says today's event will give people the opportunity to hear the "real stories of displaced people".
Attendees will also get to meet some of the local organisations that "help empower refugees to build a better future in Cavan".

Today's event in Cavan Town Square runs until 4.30 pm this afternoon.
