Firefighter recruitment open nights continue in Cavan and Monaghan this month. The recruitment drive is in response to a WRC agreement reached following industrial action by members during the summer. New conditions including flexible working hours were negotiated at the talks resulting in a better work/life balance for existing firefighters and new recruits going forward.
Now, the fire services in both Cavan and Monaghan are holding a series of open nights when anyone considering a career as a firefighter can come along and get a feel for the role and talk to those already in the job.
If you are interested in joining the team, in Monaghan you can go along to the open night planned for Clones tonight, Thursday, 17th January from 7:30 until 9pm and, in Cavan, tomorrow night in Ballyconnell from 7 until 9pm.
