Fixed penalty notices in Ballyconnell and Ardlougher

A recent speed check patrol on the Derrylin to Ballyconnell road resulted in a number of detections for speeding. Gardaí conducted the speed checks on the approach to the town in the 60km limit zone.

A number of Fixed Charge Notices were issued to the speeding drivers. At Ardlougher, a motorist was so distracted using a mobile phone whilst driving that this driver forgot to put on their seatbelt and did not see the marked Garda car.

The driver in this incident was also issued with a Fixed Charge Notice.
