A former Cavan Councillor says there needs to be a balance in objecting to housing plans.
Gaeltech Sustainable Living has submitted plans to build 26 three-bed homes at Killymooney Lough.
Friends of the Irish Environment has submitted an objection to the development, saying it will damage the biodiversity in the area.

They want the application to be delayed until the next County Development Plan comes into effect, where the land will be rezoned and protected.
Former Fianna Fail Councillor Paddy Conaty lives nearby and says there's a lot to be considered.
