Eve says she didn't start properly cycling until her mid-30s.

A former Monaghan Garda, who struck gold at the Summer Paralympics in 2016 and 2021 says it's never too late for women to pursue their love for sport.

Eve McCrystal was stationed in Castleblaney and Ballybay Garda Stations before becoming a full-time athlete.

The mum-of-two competed in a number of track and road competitions for Ireland as a sighted pilot for cyclist Katie-George Dunlevy, who moved in with the Dundalk native during the pandemic.

The 43-year-old doesn't believe careers and family life should put a stop to women's sporting ambitions.
