Former Taoiseach to give a speech at 'border counties' meeting in Cavan

Former Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern is to be the guest speaker at a public meeting in Co Cavan this Thursday.
Senator Niall Blayney is Fianna Fail's 'border counties candidate' in the upcoming European Elections.
In a statement issued to Northern Sound, Senator Blayney said that the presence of Mr Ahern is full recognition of the importance he attaches to
delivering a better deal for the region.

He added that the former Taoiseach was "pivotal" in peace building on this island.
The title for Thursday's meeting is 'Border Counties in Europe' and it will take place in the Kilmore Hotel in Cavan at 8pm.
