Four young people from the Northern Sound region have received a Gaisce Gold Award for inspirational and outstanding contribution to society.
President Michael D Higgins delivered the Award at a ceremony at Áras an Uachtaráin on Tuesday - the first Gaisce Gold Award Ceremony to take place in three years.
Andrew Gilcreest and Arnaud Farel represented Co Cavan at the ceremony, while Áine Fealy and Joshua Hall were the recipients from Co Monaghan.

79 young people from across Ireland were commended at the ceremony and Yvonne McKenna, the CEO of Gaisce, said she was "thrilled to celebrate these achievements, from tackling global challenges like biodiversity to local supports for neighbours in need".
