A free webinar is taking place this evening on "restoring Monaghan's wetlands".
The online event will outline the value of wetlands to the county and how they help the environment, through carbon capture and flood control.
The webinar will also present the objectives of the Monaghan Wetland Action Plan and there will be an opportunity to hear from groups who have undertaken wetland projects.

Advice will also be given on how individuals can help protect and restore wetlands.
The webinar starts at 7 pm this evening and will take place via zoom.
