There’s been a positive development over the future of Kilnaleck Garda Station.
It was confirmed yesterday at the local community safety partnership that a new full time Garda is now working in the community.

The confirmation was made by Superintendent Gavin O’Reilly who said the member of the force has been on the beat since last week.

The news comes following on from the downgrading of the station in January of last year.
Mr O’Reilly also said it was his hopes that the Killeshandra Garda Station would be back operational by the end of the summer too.
