Minister Heather Humphreys says "the funding will help to channel the real sense of pride that people in Monaghan and Cavan have in their localities".

Funding of just under €130,000 has been announced for outdoor community projects across Cavan and Monaghan.

The funding is under the 2021 CLÁR Programme and will support local groups in developing community and sensory gardens, outdoor spaces, and allotments.

€50,000 is headed to the St Killian's Heritage Trust in Mullagh to construct a sensory area with outdoor communal space for the entire community, alongside a performance space, BBQ and picnic area, and sensory garden.
