A fundraiser is being launched to get a wheelchair accessible boat for Lough Ramor.
On Saturday, Ramor Watersports Club in Cavan will officially unveil their plans to purchase an Access for All Wheelyboat.
The idea came about after some club members with additional mobility needs highlighted the difficulty they had getting on and off boats.
John Wilson, Commodore with the club says having the boat would give them an opportunity to expand on what tours and events they can provide for the local community.
The order for the boat is being place next week, and it's hoped that donations and sponsorship will bridge the funding gap.
The fundraiser is being launched on Saturday morning at 10am at the Lakeside Manor Hotel, with donation links being launched on social media at the weekend.
John says there's a lot of people behind the scenes who have got it to this stage.
