The funeral of rally driver Craig Breen will take place today. Hyundai Motorsport confirmed his death in a public statement issued last Thursday. The fatal accident occurred shortly after midday local time in the capital city of Zagreb.
Cavan man James Fulton had been Craig's Co-driver since November of 2022 but was unharmed in the crash. 33-year-old Craig Breen collected a second place finish in Sweden in February, in his first World Rally Championship start of the season.
Reacting on Twitter, the World Rally Championship said: The WRC family is shocked and saddened to learn of Craig Breen’s passing. Our thoughts and condolences are with the family and friends of Craig at this incredibly sad time.
Craig's Funeral Mass will take place in the The Sacred Heart Church in Ferrybank today at 1pm.
