The south Armagh border will be a focus for Gardai as they continue to investigate the murder of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe.
While Aaron Brady from Crossmaglen was found guilty of capital murder yesterday, it's believed there were four others at the scene, and more involved both before and after the incident.
The getaway car they used was found burned out near Newtownhamilton.
Superintendent Gerard Curley of Dundalk Garda Station has appealed for anyone with information to come forward, saying Gardai will handle it confidentially and without judgement.
Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound, he said the area bordering south Armagh, Monaghan and Louth will be at the centre of the investigation going forward.
However, there are concerns reports of intimidation of witnesses could put people off.
But on The Joe Finnegan Show today, President of the GRA Jim Mulligan encouraged people with information to come forward:
Aaron Brady will be sentenced in October and faces a minimum of 40 years in prison.
