People are being encouraged to attend a property marking event in Cootehill today.
From 11am to 3pm, local Gardai will have the marking machine in the town.
Anyone with power tools, bicycles, trailers or other items they'd like marked with their Eircode can bring them along to St Michael's Hall.

Gardai say having property marked makes them less likely to be stolen, and makes it easier to identify the owner if they are recovered.
