Cavan Roads Policing Unit detect drunk driver

Gardai in Monaghan are seeking the public's assistance after a car was stolen in the south of the county.

A silver ford focus was taken in Castleblayney on Thursday, 6th January last at 8pm.

Gardai are asking the public to assist with tracing the vehicle bearing registration number 04 MH.

They are keen to speak with anyone who observed this car, or its occupants, in a public car park in Castleblayney between 6pm and 8pm on Thursday the 6th January.

Meanwhile, Cavan Roads Policing Unit stopped a jeep at the weekend and the driver was found to be over the legal limit.

The driver has since been charged in connection with the incident and the vehicle was seized under Section 41 of the Road Traffic Act.
