If a country or region has experienced more than 50 new covid-19 infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days, German authorities will begin the process of adding that region to its “high risk” list.
On Monday, Germany was removed from the Irish "green list", meaning people are being expected to restrict their movements for 14 days on arrival to Ireland.
