'There is no way of fixing this Bill - it should be binned'

The Government is being urged to intervene, to ensure a 'Troubles amnesty' is not introduced in Northern Ireland. The British government's Legacy Bill - which would limit investigations into atrocities in the North - is back before the House of Lords today.

A protest, calling for justice for victims, is also set to get underway in Belfast this lunchtime. John Teggart, whose father and brother were both killed during The Troubles, is calling for the Irish government to take their British counterparts to the European Court of Human Rights. "As we have no Government up here at the moment , victims like ourselves are relying on the Irish government to support us.

"They need to take it up with the Tory Government through the European courts or whatever avenue they have open to them.  There is no way of fixing this Bill - it should be binned, it's unfixable," he added.
