The Government says it’s committed to stopping the spread of Covid-19 in the border areas.
Concern has been raised about a spike in cases in counties Donegal and Monaghan, with corresponding increases in Tyrone, Fermanagh and Armagh.
Responding local TD Brendan Smith, Minister Eamon Ryan said the HSE and NHS are in contact regularly to work to contain the virus.
He told the Dáil there is an all-island approach to protect those who travel between the two jurisdictions.
