The government is being urged to sue the contractors who still haven't delivered the new national children's hospital.
Health Minister Jennifer Carroll MacNeill was asked at the Oireachtas Health Committee yesterday if construction would actually be finished by the latest deadline of April 30th.
She replied 'that's up to BAM'.
Committee chair Padraig Rice says the Minister must begin legal proceedings against the company to ensure no more deadlines are missed.
He said: "We know the number of workers is dropping. Its halved since December 2024.
"To meet the current timeline, BAM needs to deliver 450 rooms per week, double what its currently doing."
