"A Groundswell of pride" has led to two places in Co Monaghan being placed in the top 20 places in Ireland to live.
470 locations were nominated for the title of "Best Place to Live in Ireland", with Monaghan Town and Glaslough making the top 20 list.
The Irish Times competition will cut this list down to five on Saturday, with the overall winner being named the following Saturday, September 25th.

On the Joe Finnegan Show, Irish Times journalist Conor Goodman said a "great sense of pride" across Co Monaghan was evident to see from the nominations:
