Presidential Candidate Heather Humphreys visited the region today on her campaign trail.
She was in Cootehill were she visited her former school, St Aidan’s Comprehensive School and also visited the local library.

During this afternoon’s visit, the former minister was quizzed on a number of topics.

Speaking to Northern Sound, Ms Humphreys spoke about her energy levels and how and her appetite for the top job in the Áras.
“I feel good. I feel very good, and I'm full of energy, and I'm out there. I'm getting out and about. I'm meeting people, and I really want to get to see as many people as I can and speak to as many people as I can to convince them why I should be the next President of Ireland.

“I'm not a President of either the extreme left or the extreme right. I'm a center ground person, and if I'm elected as the next President, I will be pro European. I will support Irish businesses on the world stage, and I believe that I will speak up for people, and I also will do my very best to be a unifying voice for this country.”
