High vaccination rate could speed up time line to end Covid-19 restrictions

That's according to Assistant Professor of Virology in UCD, Dr. Gerald Barry.

The government's date to end Covid-19 restrictions could be brought forward due to the country's high vaccination rates, according to a virologist.

The majority of covid rules are due to be lifted on October 22nd, aside from mask-wearing in certain circumstances.

Yesterday saw the second phased easing take place with the return to offices and larger group activities allowed.
